One of my old YW in Kinston, NC got married this last weekend (yes, that makes me feel old) Chris just happened to be in Wilmington (2 hours from Kinston) for business meetings so Cordon and I drove down and met him there. 9 hours in the car with a toddler wasn't horrible, but I have no desire to do it again. Fortunately, Chris drove home with us so it was a lot easier. The wedding was simple but very sweet and it was great to see all our old friends. However, we got so engrossed in all our conversations that neither of us thought of taking pictures. Oh well. We took a day to play in Wilmington and of course we got pictures of that.
We went to an aquarium and Cordon went nuts. He loved the fish. He ran from one tank to the next laughing and squealing at all the fish. Although, he wasn't a big fan of dad trying to shove him in the jelly fish display.
He loved riding the luggage cart at the hotel
We went to an amazing Children museum. This place was huge and had a science lab, pirate ship, art room, toddler gymnasium, shopping area etc. Cordon spent about 10 min running in and out of the 'pirate cove.' I think he liked the feel of the beads hitting his face.
The weather was in the upper 60's. It was a nice break from the freezing snow here in PA. Cordon loved the sand. He wasn't sure what to think about the water that kept attacking his feet.
Poor little guy spent so much time in his car seat but he did really good on the trip.
