I met Sharilyn when I was 6 and we have been best friends ever since. She is the type of friend that will tell you when your being an idiot but still love you anyways. I always appreciated that about her. She has been there for me anytime I needed her. Two years ago she got married but due to other things going on in my life I couldn't make it. This last weekend she and her husband where sealed in the Manti temple and I was not about to miss that. Cordon and I flew out for a couple days and I was able to go to her endowment session and sealing. (For all our non LDS friends who are completely scratching there heads right now..... an endowment session is when we make special promises to the Lord in the temple and a sealing is when you are sealed to your spouse for all eternity and not until death) While I was out and about, Cordon got to play with Grandpa and Grandma Thompson. It was the longest time we have been apart but he still did pretty good. He got a bit clingy towards the end of the trip but I expected that.
It was SO nice to have an empty seat next to me on one of the flights. I can't believe he left those headphones in.
He threw a pretty good temper tantrum one night when I put him down. When I went to check on him I found this. I would have loved to watch him wiggle his way out of his pants. I had to wait until he was in another position to get the pants back on without waking him up.
Sharilyn, Jill and I during one of our finer moments in high school. I think we were going to a Decades Dance.
This is my favorite picture of Sharilyn.
Jill (left) and Mandy (right) are also some close friends of mine. I loved driving the 90 min to Manti with them and reminiscing in the car. We had some good times in high school. This was in front of the Manti Temple just after the sealing. Such a pretty temple.
